What Are Authorized User Tradelines and How Do They Work?
Seasoned tradelines are established lines of credit with positive payment history, age, and strong credit limits. These accounts are reported by creditors to the major credit bureaus—Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion—and appear on your credit report as active accounts. Common examples of tradelines include credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, personal lines of credit, and student loans.
When used correctly, tradelines can help strengthen and enhance your overall credit profile.
How Authorized User Tradelines Work
Our program works by adding you as an Authorized User (AU) to carefully selected seasoned tradelines. This process, often referred to as credit piggybacking, allows the positive history of that account to be reflected on your credit file.
By adding authorized user tradelines, we aim to:
- Increase your credit score
- Improve your credit utilization ratio
- Add aged accounts to your credit history
- Strengthen your overall creditworthiness
We achieve this by placing you on established credit card accounts with a specific age and credit limit tailored to your goals.
What to Expect During the Process
Once you are added, authorized user tradelines typically report to your credit file within 7 days after the card’s statement date. These accounts can appear on your reports with Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, depending on the issuer and reporting practices.
When they first post, tradelines will show as open and active accounts, which can have a positive impact on your credit profile.
These tradelines generally remain active for 30 to 45 days. After that period, they may report as closed or be removed, but the positive impact can still remain on your credit report depending on how the account was reported and the bureau’s data cycle.
We guarantee all tradelines will post as open and active accounts for a minimum of 30 days from the statement date. If you need a longer reporting period, additional options are available.
Credit Bureau Reporting
Authorized user tradelines are designed to report to at least two of the three major credit bureaus—Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. Because each lender reports differently, not every tradeline will appear on all three bureaus.
If a tradeline only posts to one bureau, our team will work to troubleshoot the issue or provide a replacement tradeline to ensure proper reporting coverage.
Important Notes
While tradelines are a powerful credit-building tool, there are occasional variables outside of control. In rare cases, accounts may experience delays, fail to post, or be closed by the issuing bank. If this happens, our team will actively work to resolve the issue and keep your file on track.
Our Guarantee
All tradeline services are backed by a 100% money-back guarantee, giving you confidence and peace of mind throughout the process.
